Testing and Evaluation

Testing and Evaluation

School personnel often know that something is causing a problem for a student, but they are often unable to diagnose what combinations of academic, cognitive, and/or emotional difficulties are involved. Psychologists often know about the emotional challenges, but may not understand how to apply this knowledge to the challenges an individual has in school or on the job.

Neuroeducation is the bridge between the two – coordinating what the school or job requires and matching how the learning and/or emotionally challenged person can best meet these needs.

Here at Neuroeducation, we provide testing and evaluation for many mental and educational disorders. Our staff of trained psychologists work with you one-on-one to help determine what evaluation path is needed to help you find a solution to your questions. Testing and evaluation consists a variety of thorough assessments of brain-based behavior for children, adolescents, and adults with learning, behavioral, cognitive and/or emotional difficulties. Assessments can include diagnostic interviews, behavioral observations, family interviews, and subjective and objective psychological and educational testing.

Our approach involves both quantitative (number of right answers) and qualitative (how an answer is arrived at) analysis. Individualized treatment plans can include individual educational counseling, individual/family psychotherapy, psychoeducational groups, and/or referrals to other professions (e.g., neurologists, and speech pathologists). Our treatment plans are aimed at assisting our patients in triumphantly overcoming learning and/or emotional disorders.
